Current WIP's & FO's
Just a quick recap of what I've started and what I've actually finished.
FO's
My daughter, Cheyenne, showing off my first non-scarf FO. I modified some basic directions for a shawl and made a poncho out of 1 1/2 balls of Sugar N Cream.
Cheyenne showing off one of my first FO's - a poncho knit out of Red Heart "Baby Clouds" using a Lion Brand pattern. :p
Poncho I made for a friend's daughter. Same as the one above, just a different colorway.
I made Ben's hat out of 1 1/2 skeins of Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky. Simple garter stitch, short-row hat knit flat and then seamed.
Little kitten made out of Red Heart "Baby Terry" yarn. I'm horrible at embroidery.
Dice bag I made for Ben. My first attempt at DPN's and 3-needle bind off. Not too bad if you ask me.
And, my WIP's
A steering wheel scarf... er... Cover. Made out of Paton's Classic Wool dyed with Kool-Aid.
Said wool, cooling in the sink just after dying. My first attempt at dying anything except my hair... And I think I did pretty good.
Multidirectional Scarf that I'm making as a christmas gift. Yes, I know I messed up and it's getting smaller. I'm just going to increase once I get towards the other end to make the two ends match.
Better (or, at least, larger) picture of the above scarf. I'm using Paton's Canadiana Boucle. Not my favorite yarn, but my future mother-in-law gave me a bag of it for free.
My not-so-tempting Tempting. I got really bored of the ribbing, so I haven't worked on it for a while.
My work so far on Kyoto. The sash was fun, but after that it got really boring. I haven't touched it in over a month.
I was going to make three copies of Variation on a Frill to give to my bridesmaids at my wedding next May. It's not looking like it's going to happen. So I get to figure out new gifts for everyone. (But at least I get to keep the 9 balls of this gorgeous Russian yarn that I bought... And I'll probably finish this one anyways.)
The afghan I'm working on as my best friend's wedding present. Her wedding was in June. I'm not even 1/3 of the way through. Grr.
The scarf I started this past weekend. Most of this was done in the car on the way to my grandmother's house on the other side of the state. Made out of Paton's Classic Wool and some Lion Brand Jiffy I had sitting in my stash. No pattern, just making it up as I go along, and experimenting with different stitch patterns.
